X1 Camera

Description

The X1 camera represents the entry level product from Motion4U and is based on one infrared camera with a resolution of 355 x 288 pixels. The camera is mounted perpendicular to the desktop looking straight down. It provides a capture volume of approximately 50 x 50 x 50 cm (20 x 20 x 20 inch). With 120 fps capture rate, it provides smooth motion.

All hardware comes with a free download of our Software Development Kit. (see top of this page)

Tracking Tools

The X1 is shipped with two retro-reflective M4U Lollipops. The M4U Lollipops provide two markers for two handed translation-only tracking.

X2R2 Cameras

Description

The X2R2 is composed of 2 infrared cameras mounted on an lightweight, low-profile black bar. Two cameras provide 6D tracking (translation and rotation) depending on whether you are using a set of Points or a set of 6D-Paddles. These specially pre-calibrated cameras are optimized to require minimal setup. The included tripod stand provides a great deal of freedom in positioning it over your workspace, or should you prefer, you can also use a wallmount. Aim it at your desktop using the M4U-Manager and immediately 3D/6D tracking is available for all the applications Motion4U supports. In contrast to the X1 bundle, the X2R2 provides 6D-tracking, greater range, and greater capture volume.

X1 Camera

Description

The XPro is our top-of-the-line offering from Motion4U. It consists of 2 V100-R2 cameras which run at 100 frames per second. A big advantage for the XPro cameras are that they operate as "smart cameras", meaning they do the image processing on-camera and only send back the result to the computer, thereby lowering the performance hit on the host CPU. The XPro cameras are also synched via a hardware cable and provide the smoothest capture rate amongst all other cameras. It also has a much greater range and capture volume compared to the X1.

Sporting 32 built-in IR LEDs, you can technically work at a distance of 6 meters (20 feet). Suggested distance when the cameras are mounted is between 120 cm (47") and 160 cm (63").
